WESTFORD -- Irene (Hazzard) Selfridge, 85, of Westford died at her home on October 28, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Oxford, MA on November 22, 1926 daughter of the late John and Phyllis (James) Hazzard and was the wife of the late Earl B. Selfridge who died in 2009. She grew up in Oxford and was a graduate of Oxford High School Class of 1944 and later the Burbank Hospital School of Nursing in Fitchburg in 1949. She was married to Earl in 1948 and they made their home in Somerville, Bedford and Westford since 1961. Irene had worked as a Nurse at Sunny Nook Nursing Home in Carlisle, Westford Nursing Home and retired from Burbank Hospital at the age of 63. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bedford, and the Burbank Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Assn. Irene liked crafts and sewing and loved her camp in Maine.

Mrs. Selfridge is survived by her sons, Wesley Selfridge and George Selfridge both of Chelmsford, her daughters Earlene Arrington of Westford, Donna Perkins of W. Townsend, and Judith Torrisi of Lunenburg. Cynthia Bates of Westford, Nancy Taylor of Seward, Alaska, Carol Beckwith of Union, ME, a brother George Hazzard of Wrenshall, MN. A half brother Carl Hazzard of MA, and a half sister Deborah Masters of Oxford, MA., 18 Grandchildren and 20 Great-Grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Marcia Selfridge and the sister of the late Frederick Hazzard and John Hazzard Jr.

SELFRIDGE -- Visiting Hours will be held at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton on Thursday 4-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church, 155 Concord Street, Bedford, MA on Friday at 10:00 AM, Burial at Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
