DRACUT -- Joanne F. Silva, 46, of Dracut, a member of a widely known Greater Lowell family died at Lowell General Hospital on June 4, 2013.
She was the beloved wife of Eric S. Silva with whom she just celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on May 30th.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, June 2, 1967, the daughter of Mary A. (Hallaren) O'Brien of Dracut and the late Anthony F. O'Brien, Jr., she attended Chelmsford schools and was a graduate of Chelmsford High School in the Class of 1985 where she participated in numerous athletic activities throughout her school years. Eager to further her education, she then went on to attend Northern Essex Community College.
Joanne acted as a family caregiver and home health aide for her mother and her mother-in-law. Previously, she worked at the former Purity Supreme Warehouse in Billerica for many years. She also worked at Toupin Rigging and Century 21 in Dracut.
Joanne loved being outdoors with her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews. She would go out of her way to do anything to entertain all the special children in her life.
In addition to her husband and mother, Joanne is survived by her daughter, Jessica Silva and her fiancé, Adam Mercier and his daughter, Cori Jean of Dracut; two sisters, Mary A. Wood and her husband, Darren of Chelmsford, and Geraldine Robarge and her husband, Eric of Nashua, NH; a brother, Anthony F. O'Brien III and his wife, Patricia of Chelmsford; her mother-in-law, Claudette Silva of Dracut; two sisters-in-law, Cheryl Gregor and her husband, Tom of Lowell, and Sherry Boyd and her companion, Bob of Lowell; nieces and nephews, Heather and Taylor Wood, John and Christopher Robarge Jack and Ben O'Brien, Billy Boyd, Scott and Jeff Gregor, Gregory Haas; her paternal aunt and uncle, Geraldine Andricopoulos and her husband, Andrew and their daughter, Alyssa Pappert, all of Chelmsford.

Friends may call at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 8 P.M. Monday.
