TYNGSBORO -- Mr. Joseph R. Carbonneau, age 86, passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2013 at his home in Tyngsboro. He was the beloved husband of Agnes M. (Scanlon) Carbonneau, with whom he celebrated 62 years of marriage in July.

Born in Lowell, June 28, 1927, a son of the late Charles and Bernadette (Ayotte) Carbonneau.

Mr. Carbonneau previously resided in Dracut and was a communicant of Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish, Dracut.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a member of the DAV and the VFW Walker Rogers Post #662, of Lowell.

Prior to his retirement, Mr. Carbonneau was employed as a welder for the W.R. Grace Company, in New Hampshire, for over 20 years.

Besides his wife Agnes, he is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Joanne and Konstantinos Kalabokis, of Tyngsboro and Carol and Frederick Cate, of Nashua, NH; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Wanda (Johnson) Carbonneau, of Tyngsboro; 3 sisters, Anna Arsenault, Theresa Pomerleau and Rita Brunelle, all of Lowell; a brother, Emile Carbonneau and his wife Dorothy, of Lowell; 7 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several siblings.

CARBONNEAU -- Joseph R., 86. At his request there will be no calling hours. Cremation to take place on Tuesday. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish, 1340 Lakeview Ave., Dracut, on Thurs. Nov. 14, at 9 o'clock, to which relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Interment is private. Arrangements by the M.R.
