LOWELL -- Lucille M. (Christman) Giguere, the beloved wife of Roland H. Giguere, passed away on Monday morning, March 18, 2013 at the Heritage Manor. She was 81 years old.

Lucille was born in Lowell on December 11, 1931, a daughter of the late Omer and Florence (Gendreau) Christman. She was educated in the Lowell Schools. For many years, Lucille was employed at Casual Footwear on Dutton Street in Downtown Lowell. She later worked as an inspector at Teradyne in Nashua.

Lucille was a parishioner of the former Sacred Heart Church, now Holy Family Parish. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting. She was a fan of the Boston Red Sox. Lucille also loved Bingo at Foxwoods with her sister Pauline and traveling to Aruba with her husband Roland. Lucille and Roland had celebrated 63 years of marriage.

Lucille is survived by her three children, Jackie Burns and her husband Bob of Lowell, Gerard Giguere and Roland Giguere, both of Greenfield, NH; three grandchildren, Robert Burns of Mendon, Robin Lajoie of Hamstead, NH, and Amie Francoeur of Amherst, NH; four great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Matthew Burns of Nashua, and Ethan and Hannah Lajoie of Hamstead, NH; her sisters Lorraine Fauvel of Dracut, and Rita Burgeson of Hudson, NH; her brothers, Renee Christman and his wife Dolores, and Raymond Christman and his wife Alice, all of Lowell; her sister-in-law, Margaret Giguere of Tyngsboro; her brother-in-law, Arthur Desjardins of Lawrence; also many nieces and nephews. Lucille was the sister of the late Wilfred Christman, Violet Morin, Pauline Dorval, and Ailine Desjardins.

Mrs. Giguere's family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Manor for the wonderful care Lucille received during her time there.
