Mary Lou (Caster) Wallace

Mary Lou (Caster) Wallace Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother -- DRACUT -- Mary Lou (Caster) Wallace, of Dracut, died July 8, 2013 at Massachusetts General Hospital, after a long illness, aged 66 years. She was the beloved wife of Robert G. Wallace with whom she celebrated 43 years of marriage last March. Born in Lowell, June 26, 1947, a daughter of the late Raymond and Mildred (Sanger) Caster. She received her early education in the Lowell school system and graduated from Lowell High School with the Class of 1965. She furthered her education at Lowell Commercial College, earning an Associate's Degree in Business Administration. Mary became associated with the U. S. Air Force at Hanscom Air Force Base, and soon after, advanced her career at MITRE Corporation in Bedford. She was the Office Manager at Ken Harkins Real Estate and Appraisers in Lowell for many years, and later, worked at American Resource Staffing in Bedford, NH, until she became ill. She was a member of the Tewksbury Piecemakers Quilt Guild, the Patch Work Pals of Greater Lowell, and was a former member of The Embroiderers' Guild of America. Mary was a member of the Tewksbury Congregational Church and a former Worthy Matron of Puritan Chapter 54 in Lowell. She enjoyed extensive travel with her husband. Some of her favorite places included Scotland, Ireland, Italy, and especially, her dream trip to Paris. Mary Lou was a kind, patient woman who faced her illness with great courage and strength. She will always be remembered for her love and devotion to her family. Besides her husband Robert, she is survived by a son, Scott D. Wallace and his wife Leanne of Lowell. Three grandchildren, Ian R. Wallace, Molly E. Wallace and Stephanie M. Wallace, all of Lowell. A sister, Susan L. Jones and her husband Donald of Lowell. Her mother-in-law, Dorothy M. Wallace. Four brothers-in-law, Arthur R. Wallace and his wife Emma of Hudson, NH, Bruce R. Wallace and his wife Elena of CT, Donald Wallace and his wife Yasuko of Simi Valley, CA, and Glenn Wallace and his wife Janet of Gardner. Two sisters-in-law, Missy A. Francoeur and her husband Kevin of Chelmsford, and Cynthia M. Thornton and her husband Patrick of Westford. Many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was the sister of the late James R. Caster and David A. Caster. WALLACE -- In Boston, July 8, 2013. Mary Lou (Caster) Wallace, of Dracut, aged 66 years. Beloved wife of Robert G. Wallace. Friends will be received at the MORSE-BAYLISS Funeral Home, 122 Princeton Blvd., Lowell, on Friday from 4 to 8 PM. Mary Lou's Funeral Service will be held at the Tewksbury Congregational Church, 10 East St., Tewksbury, on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Interment in Lowell Cemetery.
