Maureen L. (Burke)
CHELMSFORD -- Maureen L. (Burke) (Wacome) Champagne, died Saturday, August 31, 2013, at the Westford House in Westford, MA.
She was married to the late Henry Champagne, who died in 1989.
Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the Richard and Marion Burke.
Maureen worked as a waitress for the Windsor Restaurant in Dracut, and as a nurse's aide for the Sunny Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chelmsford.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church.
Maureen was an avid Red Sox and Patriot fan. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, visiting the casinos, listening to country music and traveling. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by one son, Robert and his wife, Barbara Wacome of Westford; two daughters, Brenda and her husband, Jeffrey Bow of Loveland, Ohio, and Linda Whitney of Hudson, NH; two brothers, Richard Burke of Lowell, and Gary and his wife Rose Burke of KY; two sisters, Janet Coldiron of Chelmsford, and Brenda Daley of Chelmsford; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and her former husband, William Wacome Sr. of Dracut.
She was the mother of the late William Wacome Jr. who died in 1990.
