HUDSON, NH -- Peter F. White Jr., of Hudson, NH, formerly of Westford, MA, died Tuesday, October 29, 2013, after a long illness at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was in the care of St. Joseph Hospice.

He was the husband of Judith L. (Walker) White with whom he celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on Sept. 8, 2013.

Peter was the son of the late Peter Sr. and Bertha White. He was raised in Andover, MA and graduated from Johnson High School with the Class of 1949. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Union College of Barbourville, KY.

During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. White worked at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington for many years before retiring in 2007. He was a member of the American Legion Post 159 of Westford.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Westford, MA.

Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Peter F. III and his wife, Darby White of Dunstable, MA, Jeffrey and his wife, Karen White of Manchester, NH, Matthew and his wife, Colleen White of Pepperell, MA and Paul White and his partner, Shannon Stevens of Brentwood, NH; a daughter, Roberta White and her partner, Thomas Lancaster of Amherst, NH; and seven grandchildren, Taylor and Peter IV White of Dunstable, MA, Lauren and her husband, Derek Rogers, of Manchester, NH, Jenna White of Manchester, NH and Matthew, Nicholas and Kelly White of Pepperell, MA. He is also survived by a great-granddaughter, Sienna Rogers of Manchester, NH.

Peter is the brother of the late Shirley Reardon of Lowell, MA.
