Robert A. 'Babe' Brunelle
Lifelong resident of Lowell; 79
LOWELL -- Robert A. "Babe" Brunelle, age 79, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 at Lowell General Hospital.
For 35 years, he was the beloved husband of Delores A. (Carver) (Carey) Brunelle.
He was born in Lowell on May 22, 1933, a son of the late Andrew Brunelle Sr. and the late Marion (Michelin) Brunelle. Robert was a lifelong resident of Lowell, and a communicant of St. Joseph the Worker Shrine.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a machine operator with Pellon Corp. in Lowell for 20 years. Bob also worked with Duane Wrecking in Quincy for 12 years, earlier in his career.
Robert was a very social and outgoing person who was liked by all who knew him. He enjoyed bowling at the CMAC in Lowell.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Alfred Brunelle and his wife, Dawn of Pelham, NH, Richard Carey, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl and Ralph Carey and his wife, Barbara, all of Nashua, NH, Jeannine Roy of Tuscon, AZ, Robert Carey of Skowhegan, Maine, and Marie Evans and her husband, William, III of Londonderry, NH; a sister-in-law, Doris Ciccone of Portland, ME; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the father of the late Joseph Carey, and brother of the late Rosario and Leo Brunelle, and Theresa Crowley.
BRUNELLE -- Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Friday, Jan. 11 from 4 until 7 pm.
