SANTA ROSA, CA -- Robert H. Bowen, age 82, died after a lengthy illness at his home in Santa Rosa, CA where he has been residing for the past 12 years.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Lillian (Fielding) Bowen.

Mr. Bowen was born in San Francisco, CA in 1930, he was the son of the late Guy and Gertrude (Lambphere) Bowen.

During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army and was a Purple Heart recipient.

Upon his discharge from the Army, he took up residence in Lowell and lived here for 50 years.

He was employed with Digital Equipment Corp., as a member of their security staff until his retirement.

He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Lillian Lesage and her husband, Ronald of Dracut, MA, and Gail Lamontagne and her husband Marc of New Bedford, MA; and one son, Robert L. Bowen and his companion, Carol Nason of Amesbury, MA.

He is also survived by five grandchildren, Laurie McManus of Pelham, NH, Kenneth Lesage of Lowell, MA, Daniel Lesage of Dracut, MA, Norberto Rubert of New Bedford, MA, Sharon Estevao of Dracut, MA; and nine great-grandchildren.

He also leaves a brother, George Bowen of Covolo, CA; along with several nieces and nephews.

Private interment service will be held at the Edson Cemetery.
