Robert J. 'Bob' Howes Sr.

LOWELL -- Robert J. 'Bob' Howes Sr., 80, of Lowell, died after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Monday, December 23, 2013 at his home. He was the husband of the late Charleen R. (Grace) Howes who passed away June 18, 2012 after 53 years of marriage.
Born May 25, 1933, in Lowell, he was a son of the late Gladys Howes, he attended the Immaculate Conception School, and graduated from Lowell High School with the Class of 1952.
After graduating from Lowell High School, Mr. Howes joined the United States Army to Honorably service his country during the Korean Conflict
. After returning home from serving with the Army, he met his wife, Charleen Grace.
He resided in Belvidere and was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. He was employed as a pressman for thirty-three years for the Courier Citizen, and later he was employed by Raytheon until his retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his son, Robert J. Howes Jr. and his wife, Kathleen Darezzo of Salem, NH; his daughter, Donna Marie Howes of Dracut; his grandson, Daniel Robert Howes and his wife, Tracy of Londonderry, NH; his granddaughter, Erin Elizabeth Howes and her significant other, Sean Frasier both of Londonderry, NH; a sister-in-law, Barbara Wieczorek and her husband, Peter of Salem, NH; a brother-in-law, David Andrews of Salem, NH; a cousin, Barbara Howes of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews. Bob is also survived by his neighbors and friends on Douglas Road.
He was also the brother-in-law of the late Karen Andrews.
