LINCOLN, NH -- Roland Clermont, formerly of Lincoln, NH passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at D'Youville Life and Wellness Center in Lowell, MA, following a period of declining health. He was 88.

Born on June 13, 1925 in Lowell, MA, he was the son of Joseph and Anna (Bellemare) Clermont.

Roland was raised and educated in Lowell, MA. A longtime resident of Lowell, he owned and operated Clermont's Markets in the greater Lowell area for many years. He retired from the grocery business and moved to Lincoln, NH to work in the family business-The Beacon Resort. He was very active with the Beacon Tours and enjoyed directing the tours and travelling with customers.

He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Lincoln, NH.

Roland greatly enjoyed spending time with his family. His also enjoyed travelling, skiing, playing cards, and boating.

Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by his wife of 62 years, Eva I. (Parent) Clermont, a brother Leo Clermont, and sisters Rita Mayotte, Irene St. Jean, Alice Chateauneuf, and Germaine Jussaume.

He leaves three sons, Edward Clermont and his wife Ann Margaret of North Woodstock, NH, Ronald Clermont and his wife Pierrette of Lincoln, NH, and Joseph Clermont and his wife Michelle of Lowell, MA; 11 Grandchildren, 20 Great-Grandchildren; two brothers: Richard Clermont of Lighthouse Point, FL, and Roger Clermont of Lowell, MA; two sisters Gertrude Clermont and Doris O'Beirne both of Lowell, MA; and many nieces and nephews.

CLERMONT -- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at St. Joseph Church, Lincoln, NH. Rev. David Kneeland will officiate. The Rite of Committal will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Lincoln, NH.

Calling hours will be held from 5:00pm to 9:00pm Tuesday, July 30 at Fournier-Hale Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, No Woodstock, NH.
