LOWELL -- Rosalie M. (Kleinsorge) Jones, 92, of Lowell, died peacefully, Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Willow Manor Nursing Home after a brief illness.
A daughter of the late Joseph and the late Alice (Reymer) Kleinsorge, she was born March 28, 1921, in Martinsburg, Missouri, and was educated in that area, attending St. Joseph's School. She then attended the College at Mount St. Scholastica College being taught by the Benedictine Nuns until her graduation four years later, then attended St. Louis University Hospital for Dietetics.
Rosalie worked at St. Mary's College in Port Arthur, Texas, for five years where she met and married her husband, Sebert F. Jones, a Navy man, who was posted in Orange, Texas. In 1951, they moved to Somerville and in 1952, the moved to Lowell where she made her home for the past sixty one years.
She worked at St. John's Hospital for twenty years as a Therapeutic Dietician, moving on to become the Assistant Food Service Director for six years before her retirement at the age of sixty four. In her retirement, she has enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and then to the Holy Land from which she then visited many other destinations in Europe. She also enjoyed traveling to Ohio where she visited her cousins, Wilfred and Marie.
A communicant of St. Rita's Church, she more recently attended Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Church. She also frequently traveled to Churches and into New Hampshire where she attended Prayer Meetings.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph Jones and his wife, Sandra, of Pelham, NH, and David Jones and his wife, Doreen, of Lowell; her grandchildren, Melissa Jones and Mike Belmont, Joseph Jones and his wife, Virginia, Robert Jones, Stephanie Jones and her husband, Walter, Nathan Jones, Danyl Williams and her husband, Isacc, and Deana Jones; her great grandchildren, Austin Williams, Maxwell Williams, Isaiah Williams, Andre Breau, Ava Belmont and Rene Jones; as well as her extended family, Dennis Ducharme and his wife, Dianne, and their eleven children and twenty grandchildren; and her cousin, Lee Reymer of CA.
She was also a cousin of the late Fred Fennewald.
