DUNSTABLE -- Ruth Norma (Carlson) McManus, of Dunstable, passed from this life to the next, April 26, 2013, surrounded by her loving family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Ruth was born April 29, 1927, the only child of the late Martin and Francis (Callaghan) Carlson in Dorchester MA, where she also spent her early years.

She was the devoted and loving wife of 65 years to her husband, James F. McManus of Dunstable
Ruth enjoyed gardening, painting, and spending time with her family. She was a kind and loving mother to her four children and her presence in their lives will be greatly missed.

She was survived by her children, Wayne McManus of Dunstable, MA, Lee Anne Seeger of Pepperell, MA, and Leslie McManus of Plainville, CT. She was also predeceased by her oldest daughter, Michele Keyser.

Ruth was a wonderful grandmother to her seven grandchildren, a great-grandmother to her nine great-grandchildren, and was blessed to have one great-great-grandchild.
