Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother
LOWELL -- Steven Roy, 54, of Lowell, died unexpectedly, Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Lowell General Hospital-Saints Campus.
He was the husband Cheryl (Talbot) Roy, with whom he would have celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary this coming March.
A son of the late Raymond Roy and the late Shirley Genereux, he was born September 19, 1958, in New Bedford, moving to Lowell at a young age. He grew up and was educated in the Lowell Schools. He served with the United States Army as a young man.
He worked with handicapped people before recently working for J & J Heating and Air Conditioning.
He enjoyed spending his free time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Cheryl, he is survived by his children, Danielle Roy, Chris Roy, and Amanda Roy, all of Lowell; his granddaughters, Jocelyn Roy, Lindsey Georgeroulos, Alivia Roy, and Jaydalee Roy, all of Lowell; his brothers, David Roy of Lowell, Bob Carrier and his wife, Lisa, of New Hampshire, and Rodney Carrier of Massachusetts; his sister, Angela Carrier of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also a brother of the late Raymond Roy.
