CHELMSFORD -- William A. "Bill" Hall, 88, a resident of Chelmsford and former longtime Wisconsin resident, died Wednesday, January 2nd, 2013, at Northwood Healthcare Center after a long illness.

He was the beloved husband of Barbara L. (Bauman) Hall, to whom he was married for 64 years.

He was born in Kenosha, WI on August 28, 1924, and was a son of the late Robert M. and Irene (Trebilcock) Hall. He received his education in Racine, WI schools and was a graduate of Park High School in Racine. Following graduation, Bill joined the Army and served in WWII in Europe. After the war he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin.

Prior to his retirement, Bill was employed for 26 years as a salesman by Teledyne Wisconsin Motor in Milwaukee. Following retirement, he drove a bus for handicapped children for more than 10 years.

Bill was a big sports fan and enjoyed watching the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox, and as a Wisconsin alumnus, also kept an eye on the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. Earlier in life Bill enjoyed hiking and biking and was a member of the Wisconsin Go Hiking Club. Bill loved a good laugh, and received the most enjoyment in life being in the company of children, especially his loving grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three daughters, Khristine Hall and her husband, John McCartney of New Fairfield, CT, Katherine Martinez of Johnstown, PA, and Sue Obendorf and her husband, Will of Chelmsford; six grandchildren, Christopher Martinez and his wife, Crystal of Arlington, VA, Terra Kaufman and her husband, Dan of Drexel Hill, PA, Morgan Gallop of San Francisco, CA, and Bobby Obendorf, Molly Obendorf, and Anna Obendorf, all of Chelmsford; one great-grandchild, Asher Kaufman; a brother, James Hall of Salt Lake City, Utah; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also the brother of the late Robert Hall, Donald Hall, Mary Jensen, and Irene Kayon.

HALL -- It being his wish, there will be no visitation. A memorial service is currently planned for 1:00 PM on February 16, 2013 at Central Congregational Church in Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's name to the Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Bldg. 9, Lawrence, MA 01843.
