Marjorie G. Donaghue
of Lowell, active at St. Rita Church; 94
LOWELL Marjorie G. (O'Rourke) Donaghue, 94, a lifelong resident of the Pawtucketville section of the city, died Sunday, September 6th, at Willow Manor,
surrounded by her loving family.
She was the wife of the late John
Joseph Donaghue, who died October 24, 1993.
Born in Lowell, March 9, 1915, the daughter of the late Terrence and the late Blanche (Cudmore) O'Rourke and sister of the late Terrence O'Rourke. She attended Lowell Schools, and was a graduate of Lowell High School.
Mrs. Donaghue was a communicant of St. Rita Church and a member of the Women's Club, and St. Rita's
cadets. She was also a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital in Lowell for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Before retiring, she was a Sales Clerk at the Bon Marche Store in downtown Lowell.
Mrs. Donaghue is survived by two daughters, Mary Gail Toffling and her husband, Vincent of Tyngsboro, and Deborah A. Donaghue of Lowell; a son David M. Donaghue and his wife Rhonda (Perkins) Donaghue of Billerica; a granddaughter, Keri Donaghue of Billerica; three grandsons, Daniel A. Toffling and his wife, Mercedes of Brookline, Keith M. Toffling of Amherst, MA, and Scott M. Donaghue of Billerica; and a niece, Maureen Girouard of Newburyport.
DONOGHUE In Lowell, Sept. 6, 2009 at Willow Manor, Marjorie G. (O'Rourke) Donaghue, 94, of Lowell, wife of the late John Joseph Donaghue. Friends may call at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from
4 to 8 P.M. Wednesday. Her funeral will take place from the funeral home Thursday morning at 10 o'clock followed by a Funeral Mass at ST. RITA CHURCH at 11 o'clock. Burial in St. Patrick

Dear Mary Gail, Debbie, and David,
Thank you for sharing your Mother with all of us. Some of my earliest, joyful memories are of her at the piano livening up everyone within earshot. I will always remember her dedication to making the "moons" to enable her to travel to Ireland with us all. Margie will always be remembered for the love and joy she gave to all.
