LITTLETON -- Allan C. GaNung, 81, of Littleton, died at Emerson Hospital in Concord on December 7, 2012.
He was born in Boston on March 1, 1931, son of the late Grover and June (Hanson) GaNung, and was the husband of the late Norma (Durette) GaNung who died in June. He grew up in South Boston, and entered the U.S. Navy in 1950 serving until 1954 as a Boatswain's Mate Third Class.
He met Norma and they were married in 1957 where they made their home in Walpole, Tyngsboro, and finally Littleton since 1965.
Allan had worked as a salesman for Singer Sewing Machines, and several jewelry companies before he was a machine operator at Rexnord Corp in Hudson. Allan retired from there 19 years ago
He enjoyed playing poker amongst his family and friends.
Allan is survived by a son, Russell and his wife, Dianna GaNung of Townsend, MA; a daughter, Kathleen and her husband, Nicolas St. Jeanos of Sanford, Maine; four grandchildren, Kayla M. GaNung, Keith A. GaNung, Alison N. St. Jeanos and Amanda R. St. Jeanos. He is also survived by his great-granddaughter, Annabelle.
GaNUNG -- Visiting Hours will be held at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 1 pm. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton. Please see www.badgerfuneral.com
