Anna Crocker Obituary

Anna J. Crocker Élifelong Lowell resident; 79 LOWELL - Anna J. (Leary) Crocker, 79, a lifelong Lowell resident, died yesterday, Oct. 30, at the Heritage Nursing Care Center in Lowell. She was the wife of the late Henry W. Crocker. She was born in Lowell on June 27, 1924, a daughter of the late Daniel F. and Annie J. (Vesey) Leary. She graduated from Lowell High School, where she was a lead baton twirler. Mrs. Crocker was a homemaker to 18 children. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church and a member of the Lowell High Booster Club. She participated in many activities at Walker Rogers Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. She is survived by 16 children, H. Wilson Crocker Jr. of Lowell, Cheryl Lesniak and her husband William of Lowell, Nancy L. Drinkwater of Boston, Glenn Crocker and his wife Linda of Dracut, Kevin D. Crocker and his wife Katie of Holliston, Karen V. Mahini of Lawrence, Darlene M. Colon and her husband Juan of Lawrence, Michelle G. Kotarakos and her husband Rudolpho of Lowell, John M. Crocker and his wife Catherine of Lowell, Laurel A. Hanna and her husband Toufic of Salem, N.H., Susan J. Wakim and her husband John of Salem, N.H., Mary Gayle Eltobgi and her husband Mahmoud of Lowell, Anna M. Silva of Lowell, Kelly S. Hurley and her husband David, residing in Vermont, Scott T. Crocker of Lowell, and Colleen M. Ventura and her husband Peter of Lowell; 36 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Riopelle and Nellie Cormier, both of Seabrook, N.H.; a brother, Thomas Leary of Salem, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Crocker was also the mother of the late Lance N. Crocker and Ruth Ann Sequeira, and the sister of the late Henry Leary.

Anna was my aunt. She was my dad's twin sister. I remember, so many years ago, visiting her and all the cousins when they lived in the projects and then later when they moved to East Merrimack St. I can still remember her smiling face and arms full of babies! My deepest regards are with all my cousins.
