LOWELL Antoinette (Martakos) Apostolakos, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died peacefully Sat. Sept. 12, 2009, in Westford, aged 94. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter C. Apostolakos who died in 1963.
Born in Lowell, October 7, 1914, a daughter of the late Pavlos D. and Stamatoula (Pappafagos) Martakos, she received her education in the Lowell School System.
Mrs. Apostolakos was associated with the former Ideal Dress and Lark Dress manufacturers in Lowell as a seamstress for many years. Antoinette was a member of the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church and the Transfiguration Ladies Philoptochos Society.
She is survived by a daughter Patricia A. Mahoney and her husband Jack of Westford, two sons Christos P. Apostolakos and his wife Carole of East Falmouth, MA and Paul P. Lakos and his wife Patricia of Salem, NH; five grandchildren Tanya A. Vecchi and her husband Jeffrey of West Newbury, MA, Phillip C. Apostolakos and his wife Nicole of San Marcos, CA, Jessica Nazarian and her husband Scott of Hampstead, NH, Peter F. Mahoney of Methuen and Christopher J. Mahoney and his fiancé Caroline Hegarty of Concord, MA; six great-grandchildren Nicholas and Ava Vecchi, Sophia and Lilly Apostolakos, Isabella and Alexander Nazarian; two sisters Stella Koravos of Andover, MA and Sophia Quinn and her husband Thomas of Dracut; and also by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Clara Frangos, Florence Galaris, Julia Diamantopoulos and James Martakos. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and many dear friends.

Friends will be received at the MORSE-BAYLISS FUNERAL HOME, 122 Princeton Blvd. at Chester and Harvard Sts. on Wednesday from 4 - 8 P.M. Funeral Thursday, from the Funeral Home at 11 A.M. with a Funeral Service at Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, at 12 Noon. Friends who wish may make Memorial Contributions in her name to Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church Mortgage Reduction Fund. Interment in Westlawn Cemetery. Funeral Directors Frederick W.
