Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather
LOWELL -- Antonio P. Godinho, 99, the loving husband of Emilia D. (Silva) Godinho, passed away on November 18, 2012 at Lowell General Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Terceira, Azores, Portugal on December 18, 1912, he was a son of the late Manuel and Emilia (Perreira) Godinho. Antonio attended school in the Azores and was employed for many years as a lumberjack. He and his wife came to the United States 30 years ago and settled in Lowell.
Mr. Godinho was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church. He held membership in the Portuguese Club, The Holy Ghost Society, and The Portuguese American Center of Lowell. He enjoyed playing cards, gardening, watching soccer, and traveling to Portugal every year.
Surviving Mr. Godinho are his wife Emilia Godinho of Lowell, two daughters, Maria F. Camara and her husband Manuel E. Camara, Maria S. Godinho all of Lowell; his son, Paulo J. Godinho and his partner James A. Hunter both of Lowell; two grandchildren, Paula Clarimundo and her husband Victor Clarimundo of Tewksbury, and Rui M. Camara and his wife Meghan R. Camara of Littleton; a great-granddaughter, Sophia R. Camara of Littleton, and several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Family and friends may call at the FAY McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 105 MOORE STREET, LOWELL, TODAY, TUESDAY, from 4 until 8 P.M.
Mr. Godinho's Funeral will begin on WEDNESDAY MORNING at 9 o'clock from the Funeral Home, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 o'clock at ST. ANTHONY CHURCH, 893 Central Street, Lowell. His burial will follow in the family lot in the Lowell Cemetery.
