Beatrice L. 'Betty' Anderson
Formerly of Lowell, Army Vet; 93

WOLFEBORO, NH -- Beatrice L. "Betty" Anderson, 93, a resident of Wolfeboro, NH, and a former longtime resident of the Belvidere section of Lowell, died Thursday, July 12th, at the Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, NH.

She was the beloved wife of Paul R. Anderson, who died in 1993 after 47 years of marriage.

She was born in Lowell on June 12, 1919, and was the daughter of the late Frederick and Molly (Munn) Lagerholm. She received her education in Bristol, CT schools and was a graduate of the University of Connecticut, class of 1941.

After a year's study of dietetics at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston, Betty served as a hospital dietitian in Africa and Italy with the Army Medical Corp for 27 months and was honorably discharged with the rank of First Lieutenant.

Upon returning to the states, she married Paul Anderson and settled in Lowell where she lived until her move to Sugar Hill Retirement Community in Wolfeboro, NH in 2007.

Betty was an honorary member of the Lowell Garden Club.

She and Paul were active members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Chelmsford, where she was a member of the Mary Martha Bible Study Group.

Betty enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, reading, and special occasions with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Judith A. and her husband, Robert T. O'Keefe of Wolfeboro, NH, and Karen A. and her husband, Bradley H. Wolff of Moultonboro, NH; four grandchildren, Daniel Wolff, Christine and her husband, Michael McLaughlin, Jr., of Moultonboro, NH, Timothy P. O'Keefe and his wife, Teshia of Wolfeboro, NH, and Michael O'Keefe and his wife, Lisa of Ossipee, NH; and four great-grandsons.

ANDERSON -- It being her wish, there will be no visitation. A private Graveside Service was held at Edson Cemetery in Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Betty's name to the .
