40 year resident of Chelmsford

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA -- Betty Lange Cole, a 40 year resident of Chelmsford, passed away October 3, 2012 in Fairfax, Virginia.

Betty and her husband, C. Daniel Cole, raised their four children in Chelmsford while Dan was a professor of physics at the former Lowell Tech now the University of Massachusetts/Lowell campus until his death in 1985.

She designed the preschool classroom space for the First English Lutheran Church in Lockport, New York, as an accessible classroom space for young children in the 1950s. However, her proudest accomplishment was in nurturing her close family.
