N. CHELMSFORD -- Bonnie Ruth (Britt) Martin, of N. Chelmsford, MA, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was married to Bruce A. Martin with whom she celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on September 24, 2013.

Born in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of the late Jarrett and Barbara Britt. She graduated from Chelmsford High School with the class of 1969 and from St. Joseph's Hospital School for Laboratory Assistance.

Bonnie co-owned with her husband, Welfab, Inc. of Billerica for 34 years. In her early years, she worked as a lab technician for Dr. Houle, several doctors at Mass. General Hospital and the Tewksbury State Hospital.

She was a Deaconess and Finance Committee member of the North Chelmsford Congregational Church, and a member of the American Medical Technologists.

Bonnie treasured the times, she and her husband rode their Harley-Davidson motorcycle throughout New England. She enjoyed cooking, attending cooking classes and vacationing in her summer home in Maine. She was an avid gardener.

Besides her husband, she is survived by four brothers, Jarrett Britt of Lowell, Kevin Britt of N. Chelmsford, Dennis and his wife, Cheryl Britt of N. Chelmsford, and James and his wife, Lori Britt of N. Chelmsford; three sisters, Karyl Britt of Westford, Debi and her husband, Patrick Ledbetter of Hudson, NH, and Bobbi Britt and her fiancé, James Rockholt of The Villages, FL; mother-in-law, Loretta Martin of N. Chelmsford; two brothers-in-law, George Martin and his wife, Marian Re of Beverly, and Stephen P. Martin of Osborne, KS; and many nieces and nephews.

MARTIN -- Bonnie R. (Britt) Martin, of N. Chelmsford, MA, died April 8, 2014. Visiting hours Fri. 3 to 7 P.M. at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD, Funeral Services Sat. at 10 A.M. at the North Chelmsford Congregational Church. Burial in West Chelmsford Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the North Chelmsford Congregational Church, 15 Princeton St. N. Chelmsford, MA 01863.
