DRACUT -- Cecile M. Chouinard, 88, passed away Wednesday, January 23rd, at Lowell General Hospital at Saints Campus. She was the beloved wife of George A. Chouinard with whom she shared 65 years of marriage.
Cecile was born in Lowell on May 5, 1924, the daughter of the late Marie Anna (Marcoux) and Fortunat Frechette.
Prior to her retirement, Cecile was employed by R.C.A. and G.E. as a technician. She was a founding member of the Dracut Lioness District 33N and also a communicant of Ste. Therese Church in Dracut.
Cecile enjoyed quilting and was well known for it. She also enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and loved spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Cecile is survived and will be deeply missed by her four children, George A. "Sonny", Jr. and his wife Cathy of VT, Susan Bliss and her husband Paul of Hopkinton, NH, Gail Hall and her husband Michael of Dracut, and Lisa Lessard and her husband Robert of Hudson, NH; her sister Estelle Kisley and her husband Steve of Florida; 12 beloved grandchildren, Nicole, Sarah, Hallie, George, Mark, Seumas, Beathan, Michael, Mistyfaye, Heidi, Joshua, and Jessica; and her nine great-grandchildren, Raymond, Luke, Carmela, Eloise, Sophia, Sean, Sadie, Athaya, and Alphonse as well as many nieces and nephews.
Cecile is predeceased by her brothers, Roland Frechette and Roger Frechette; as well as her sister Therese Gagnon.
CHOUINARD -- Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, January 27th from 2 until 5 PM at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT. Her Funeral will take place from the Funeral Home on Monday, January 28th at 8 AM followed by her Funeral Mass in Ste. Marguerite Church in Dracut at 9 AM.
