CHELMSFORD -- Claude L. Therriault age 81 years old of Chelmsford, MA passed away February 11, 2013 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA after battling colon cancer.
He was born June 20, 1931. He was the 12th child of 13 children of the late Joseph and Bernadette Therriault of Lille, ME.
Claude was a resident of Chelmsford, MA with his wife Lorraine.
He was a loving and devoted husband married to his sweetheart Lorraine (Doucette) Therriault for 55 years.
Claude lived and attended St. Mary's Church in Chelmsford, MA for 40 years.
He was a Staff Sargent for the army of the Korean War from 1952-1954.
Claude worked for Xerox for 27 years as a computer engineer attending school continually during that time. He was honored with many customer service awards and traveled several times with his wife to the Bahamas.
Claude and Lorraine loved to travel. They visited Europe, Alaska, Canada, Mexico and drove across the United States several times.
Claude loved working on his computer and golfing. He was the president of the "Geritol League" at the Chelmsford Country Club for 5 years. He loved working in the yard and garden, taking pictures of nature, dancing, reading, and playing pool with his brother Joe. He was a skilled master wood crafter and electrician.
He was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need.
Claude is survived by his wife Lorraine, three daughters, Sandra Therriault of San Diego, CA, Darlene Dixon of Lowell, MA, Louise Sandberg of Madison, NH, Dennis Therriault of Tyngsboro, MA and Carl Therriault of Haverhill, MA. Also a son-in-law Jack Sandberg and daughter-in-law Grace Therriault. Six grandchildren, Melissa Leonard, Pamela Dixon, Richard S. Dixon, Gina Therriault, Audrey Therriault, Jeffrey Therriault. Eight great-grandchildren, William, Andrew and Matthew Leonard, Derek and Ryan Plowman, Javian Therriault, and Kaliyan and Raveena Dixon.
Also survived by two brothers Eugene Therriault and Joseph Therriault and sister Rita Violette and brother-in- law Claude Violette. He also has many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Claude was a loving and caring person who was greatly admired and loved by his family and friends.
THERRIAULT, CLAUDE L. -- His visitation will be held at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD, MA on Friday from 8:30 until 10:30 am, followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 o'clock at St. Mary Church, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford, MA.
