NASHUA, NH -- David Eric Svenson, 45, of Nashua, died unexpectedly at his home, Tuesday, November 20, 2012.

A resident of Nashua for the past twenty years, Eric was born in Bangor, Maine, on April 17, 1967, son of The Reverend David E. and Linda C. (Heyl) Svenson of Nashua. A graduate of Profile High School in Bethlehem, NH, class of 1985, Eric enlisted in the Army National Guard and then served with the Army during Desert Storm in 1991 and later with the National Guard in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Following his honorable discharge, Eric was employed as a driver with the United Parcel Service of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, for the past seventeen years. Among his many interests was his enjoyment of military history and politics. He was an avid New York Giants fan. Eric was also a talented cook and brewed his own beer.

Members of his family include his parents, The Rev. David E. and Linda C. Svenson of Nashua; his sisters, Lisa C. Svenson of Nashua, Kirsten L. Svenson of Marietta, GA, and Bethany J. Svenson of Nashua; his nieces and nephews, Rachel Rumohr, Tyler and Annika Carter, and Claudia, Sebastian, and Thalia Henningsen; also aunts, uncles, and cousins.

SVENSON -- A graveside service and military honors will take place at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway in Boscawen, Friday, November 30th at 2 p.m. On Saturday, December 1st, the family will receive friends at the Main Street United Methodist Church, 154 Main Street, Nashua, beginning at 11 a.m. until his Memorial Service at 12 noon. The Rev. Richard Cullen, Pastor, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation to the , 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
