PELHAM, NH -- Dennis Ernest Viger, 62, died suddenly Sunday, January 6th at his home. He was the beloved husband of Michelle (Napert) Viger with whom he shared 40 years of marriage.
Dennis was born in Lawrence on February 7, 1950, a son of the late Josephine (Wasylak) and Ernest Viger. He was educated in Dracut and a graduate of Dracut High School and Franklin Institute in Boston.
For 33 years he worked as a Engineer at Verizon until retiring, and then for the past 10 years worked as an Contract Engineer for Verizon Wireless.
Dennis was very involved with the town of Pelham especially the town politics and also served on the Budget Committee for over 30 years. He could also be found almost every morning at the local McDonald's for the "Breakfast Club".
His family however, is what meant most to him. He always enjoyed having Sunday dinners and spending time with them; he will be greatly missed.
Along with his wife Michelle, Dennis is survived by his 4 children, Doug Viger and Donna of Pelham, Matt Viger and Andrea of Goffstown, NH, Jeff Viger and Meghan of Pelham and Andy Viger and Erin of CT. He is also survived by his 8 cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Connor, Rylee, Mikayla, Colin, Jackson, Addison, and Mason; his siblings, Katherine Ignacio and her husband George of Dracut, and Michael Viger and his wife Patrice of Methuen; his mother-in-law Faye Napert of Dracut, his closest cousin and friend, Ron Viger and his wife Charlene of Methuen, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
VIGER -- Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9th at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. His funeral will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, January 10th at 11:30 a.m. and burial will follow at Gibson Cemetery in Pelham.
