Great-Grandmother and Sister

LOWELL -- Elmar L. (Clemons) Fisher, of Lowell, died December 6, 2013, at Lowell General Hospital, after a lengthy illness, aged 72 years.

Born in Epps, Louisiana, October 23, 1941, a daughter of the late Simmie and Pinkie (Lewis) Clemons. She received her education in the Lake Providence and Monroe, LA, school systems.

At age 16, she moved to Boston, and later settled in Lowell to raise her family. She worked as a Solderer at Raytheon in Andover, retiring in 2002.

Elmar loved to catch and eat fresh water fish, and was an excellent soul food cook. She was a member of the Lowell Lodge of Elks. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Fisher of Lowell, and Sheila Rondeau and her husband Ray of Bradenton, FL, two sons, Matthew Fisher Jr. and Tyrone Fisher, both of Lowell, eleven grandchildren, LeShanta, Larry, Damaris, Janette, Matthew, Nikita, Paris, Julien, Tyrone Jr., Danny and Andrew. Ten great-grandchildren, Laeesha, Nazir, Kamarri, Cameron, Amyah, Isiah, Jose, Joseph, Saphire, and Naeemah. Five sisters, Lucille Mosley of Oakland, CA, Lula Mae Dobbins, Dorothy Chambers, and Elmar's twin sister Edna White, all of West Monroe, LA, and Gert Clemons of Ellenwood, GA. Also, a goddaughter, Rebecca Brown, and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was the mother of the late Samantha Fisher, grandmother of the late Wayne Fisher, sister of the late Sidney Moore and Simmie Clemons Jr., and godmother of the late Carla (Pepsi) Robinson.

FISHER -- In Lowell, December 6, 2013. Elmar L. (Clemons) Fisher, of Lowell, aged 72 years. Friends will be received at the MORSE-BAYLISS Funeral Home, 122 Princeton Blvd., Lowell, on Friday from 10 AM to 12 PM, followed by her Funeral Service at the funeral home at 12 PM. Bishop Stanley O.
