Formerly of Lowell and Chelmsford; 78

WINCHENDON -- Emily R. (Enos) Harmer, 78, of Winchendon, formerly of Lowell and Chelmsford, died peacefully Thursday afternoon, April 25th, 2013, in UMASS Medical Center, Worcester.

She was born in Lowell on June 21, 1934, daughter of the late Emmanuel and Rose (Santos) Enos, and moved to Chelmsford in 1979. Since 2003, she had lived in Winchendon.

Emily worked a variety of jobs in the Lowell region. She retired from Kronos, where she had worked as an assembler of time clocks. She earned her GED from Montachusett Regional Vocational Institute later in life.

Her greatest enjoyment came from traveling with her husband, doing puzzles, and watching the Boston Red Sox.

Her husband of 27 years, Charles E. Harmer, died in 2008. She leaves her children, Roseann Bunker of Lowell, David Bunker of Dracut, Theresa H. Bunker of Alabama, Michael Arthur of Orlando, FL, and Robert Harmer of Chelmsford; three stepchildren, Daniel Harmer of Tyngsboro, Lee Ann Harmer of Methuen, and Andrew Harmer of Chelmsford; two sisters, Beatrice Daly of NH, Theresa Hosmer of Milton; one brother, Mannie Enos of Danvers; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Two children, Linda Bunker and Jean Marie Glover and a stepson, Eric Harmer, predeceased her.

HARMER -- Calling hours will be held Monday, May 6th from 5 to 7 P.M. in Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen Street, Chelmsford. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 7th at 10 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. Burial will follow in Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168. www.stone-ladeau.com
