Loving husband, father and grandfather

PELHAM, NH -- Frank E. Bonczar, age 85, of Pelham, NH, died on Sunday, October 7, 2012, at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, NH. He was the husband of Sophie (Pavelka) Bonczar, they were married for 50 years.

He was born on October 9, 1926 in Billerica, MA, he was the son of the late Martin and Josephine (Wisnioska) Bonczar. He served in both the US Air Force and US Navy during World War II and the Korean War.

Frank was a truck driver, mechanic and a heavy equipment operator. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Tim Zelonis Excavating. He was a past member of the Teamsters Union and the American Legion.

He was an avid Harley Davidson owner and rider. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf and he followed the Boston sports teams.

Besides his wife of 50 years, he is survived by two daughters: Franceen Ocasio and her companion Robert Boisvert of New Ipswich, NH, Paula Bonczar and her companion Joe Crimmons of Bedford, MA. He also leaves 2 grandchildren: Andrew and Matthew Ocasio of New Ipswich, NH, a sister: Mildred Babbitt of Lowell, MA, 2 sister-in-laws: Rita Pavelka of Pelham, NH and Ella Pavelka of Lowell, MA. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

BONCZAR -- of Pelham, NH, Frank E Bonczar, age 85, died October 7, 2012 in Nashua, NH. A memorial gathering will be held at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 10:00am. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00am. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the: Paralyzed Veterans of America, New England Chapter, 1600 Providence Highway, Suite 143, Walpole, MA 02081 or to the Disabled American Veterans, Manchester Chapter, 399 Silver Street, Manchester, NH 03103.
