CHELMSFORD -- George B. Hebert, Sr., 98, formerly of Lowell, MA, passed away at the Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford, MA on February 16, 2013, after losing his sweetheart and beloved wife, Pearl (Strobel) Hebert, who passed away on December 5, 2012. They were married on July 27, 1941, and had celebrated their 71st Anniversary last year.
He was born in Chelmsford, January 30, 1915, a son of the late Mr. & Mrs. George N. and Elizabeth (Brennan) Hebert.
He had lived in Lowell since 1943, formerly residing in Tyngsboro, and was a member of the First United Baptist Church in Lowell.
Prior to his retirement, he worked at Rockingham Park in Salem, NH and at Grace Shoe of Lowell, MA. He devoted his life to his wife and 9 children and loved to spend time fishing.
He is survived and will be greatly missed by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bernard J. and Robin Hebert of Pepperell, and George B. Hebert, Jr. of Lowell; five daughters and five sons-in-law, Shirley A. and Gerard L'Heureux, of Pelham, NH, Barbara J. and Ervin Leonard of Hudson, NH, Bonnie M. and William Daly of Lowell, Pearl M. and Raymond Bergeron of Pelham, NH, and Renee J. and John Nichols of Chelmsford; and 13 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was also the father of the late Karen L. Chenelle and Shawn A. Hebert; and brother of the late Henry J. Hebert.
