LOWELL -- Gladys L. (Wegener) Chute, 89, passed away Monday morning December 9, 2013 at Fairhaven Healthcare Center in Lowell after a brief illness.

She was the wife of the late William L. Chute. Born December 5, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Warburton) Wegener. She received her education in Methuen and lived locally all of her life.

The most important thing in Gladys' life was her family, to whom she was wholly devoted. She was lovingly known to her entire family as "Nana."

Gladys was the mother of the late Beverly (Stone) Emond and sister to the late Judith (Wegener) Combs. She is survived by 3 daughters, Margaret (Stone) Giguere of Tyngsboro, Karen (Stone) Loring of Greenville, NY, Bunny (Chute) McCadden-Fahey of Salisbury; a son James Angers of Claremont, NH; son-in-law Richard Emond of Haverhill; and 3 stepdaughters. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Her family wishes to thank her "Extended Family" who loved her as their own "Nana" at Fairhaven Healthcare Center. She will be greatly missed by all.
