NORTH BILLERICA -- Gloria J. (Gonsalves) Baldwin, 87, a resident of North Billerica for 37 years, passed away peacefully at home on March 21, 2013. Gloria was born April 13, 1925 in Killingly, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Henry J. and the late Mildred (Richmond) Gonsalves. She was raised in East Boston and Everett and graduated with honors from Everett High School where she was also an accomplished violinist. She later attended Northeastern University and retired from Arthur D. Little, Inc. as a government contract specialist.

Her creative talent was crocheting, and she made countless beautiful afghans and baby sets that are cherished by those who have them. Gloria also possessed a talent for and a love of music throughout her life. In addition to playing the violin in her youth, she later became an accomplished organist, performing at supper clubs and restaurants in the Boston area.

Gloria was an active member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church in North Billerica, where she sang in the choir and participated in many church events.

Gloria is survived by four children, William H. Baldwin of Minnesota, Martha E. Baldwin-Trimble of Oregon, Charles J. Baldwin of East Boston, and Norman W. Baldwin of North Billerica. She is also survived by three grandchildren, David, Lauren, and Rachell, seven step-grandchildren, ten step-great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog Penny.
