KENNEBUNK, Maine -- Jacqueline T. "Jackie" (McEneny) Colpoys, 77, a resident of Kennebunk, Maine, and former longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away on Thursday, December 20th, 2012, at Southridge Rehab and Living Center in Biddeford, Maine.

She was the beloved wife of Gerald T. "Gerry" Colpoys, to whom she was happily married for 53 years.

She was born in Potsdam, NY on May 15, 1935, and was a daughter of the late Edward and Lena (Goulette) McEneny. She was a graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School in Manlius, New York and Becker Junior College in Worcester, MA.

Jackie spent most of her life tending to the needs of her home and family. Earlier in life, she was employed as a medical secretary.

She was active in the Girls Scouts of America for over 40 years, acting as a troop leader and a member of the board of directors for the Spar and Spindle Council.

Jackie loved to travel throughout New England and New York, especially to York Beach, ME and Lake George, NY.

In addition to her husband, Jackie is survived by her four children, Michael Colpoys of Sanford, Maine, Timothy Colpoys and his wife, Laurie of Essex, MA, Kathryn Colpoys of Kennebunk, Maine, and Patrick Colpoys and his wife, Allison of Chelmsford, MA;
10 grandchildren, Jessica, Christopher, Joshua, Amee, Olivia, Jack, Stephen, Rosalie, Thomas, and Jonathan; her sister, Louise Thayer of Manlius, NY; and her niece, Janet Elliot, and nephew, Scott Thayer.

COLPOYS -- Visitation will be held at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD, on Thursday from 4 until 7 pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 o'clock at St. Mary Church, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Chelmsford.
