COTUIT -- Janice Georgette Gallagher, 66, of Cotuit, formerly of Boston and Lowell, died Monday, April 29, 2013, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, after a lengthy illness.
Janice was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts to the late George and Estelle (Narbonne) Deschene. Upon settling with her parents in Lowell, Janice attended local French Catholic primary schools and then graduated from Lowell High School class of 1964.
Janice relocated with her family from Lowell to Cape Cod in 1978. She served in various managerial roles for the Internal Revenue Service in Massachusetts and assignments in the United Kingdom. She was enjoying retirement at the time of her passing. She traveled extensively throughout her life, yet one of her favorite places was Loop beach in Cotuit, MA. Above all else, she cherished spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her companion in life, Anthony Capraro of Boston; three children, Lisa Inns of Solana Beach, CA, Richard Gallagher of Cohasset, MA, and Kristine Muscedere of Harrow, Ontario; eight grandchildren, Greer Inns, Colin Inns, Aisley Inns, Tegan Inns, Julia Gallagher, Nola Gallagher, Luca Muscedere, and Ellie Muscedere; two sisters, Joyce Sullivan of Marstons Mills, and Joanne Selfridge of Hyannis; one brother, George Deschene of Hyannis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her younger sister, Jane.
GALLAGHER -- Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, May 3rd at the John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Road, Marstons Mills, MA. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4th at Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 South Main Street, Centerville, MA.
