HOLLIS, NH -- John W. Hoyt, 69, of Hollis, NH died at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 19, 2015.
He was married to Linda Pappas with whom he would have celebrated a 13th wedding anniversary on August 10, 2015.
Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late Elmer and Margaret Hoyt. He graduated from Chelmsford High School with the class of 1963 and earned a B.S. in banking from the Lowell Technological Institute. He proudly served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
John was an Executive Vice President at the Connecticut River Bank in Charlestown, NH, retiring in 2011.
He had a passion for yard work and enjoyed traveling in his Motorhome.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jeffrey and his wife Sandra Hoyt of Hollis, NH and Stephen Pappas of Brookline, NH; three daughters, Erin and her husband, Vincent Ferrara of Eastchester, NY, Alissa Pappas of Hudson, NH and Christa and her husband, Eric Robinson of Nashua, NH; a sister, Cynthia Abely of N. Chelmsford, MA; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
HOYT -- Visiting hours Thurs. 2 to 4 P.M. Funeral service at 4P.M. at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD, MA. I only knew John for a short time before he retired from CRB, but what I guy he was :) BIG heart and BIG impact on many! :) My thoughts are with the family.
