Joseph J. LoPresti -- Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather -- CHELMSFORD, MA -- Joseph J. LoPresti died peacefully at home on July 10, 2013 after a long illness. He was 77 years old. He was the beloved husband of Anne (Hickey) LoPresti with whom he recently celebrated 49 years of Marriage. Joseph was born and raised in Rochester, NY; the son of the late James and Della LoPresti. He graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering. Joseph enlisted into the United States Air Force and entered Officer's Training School. He was a First Lieutenant stationed at Eglin AFB and also at ENT Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Co. He was honorably discharged from active duty in 1965. He continued to work as a civilian for the Air Force in the Electronic Systems Division at Hanscom AFB in Bedford. He received many awards and achievements for his continued contributions to the welfare of the United States. His 30 years of service ended with his retirement in 1994. Joseph loved spending time with his wonderful family. In addition to his loving wife, Joe is survived by his six children. Anne Reynolds and her husband Gary, Joseph J. LoPresti, Jr., Laura LoPresti Brown, Anthony LoPresti, Robert LoPresti and his wife Sarah (Knowles), and Mary Mascio and her husband Christopher. He adored and cherished time spent with his nine grandchildren -- Courtney, Ashley, Stephanie and Jared Reynolds, Emily and Andy Brown, Abigail LoPresti and Jossalyn and Leanna Mascio. He leaves his sister Lillian LoPresti LiPari and sister-in-law Patricia LoPresti of Rochester, NY and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Francis Joseph LoPresti and a brother Robert C. LoPresti of Rochester, NY. LOPRESTI -- JOSEPH J. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 7pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 o'clock at St. Mary Church, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Interment at St. Patrick Cemetery.
