Josephine (Maciejczyk) Jakubowicz
Beloved mother, sister, and aunt

LOWELL -- Josephine (Maciejczyk) Jakubowicz, 99, of Lowell, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014, at D'Youville Life and Wellness Community.

She was the wife of the late Constant J. Jakubowicz with whom she shared 30 years of marriage before he passed away.

Born January 8, 1915, in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and the late Michalina (Javorek) Maciejczyk, attended the local schools including the former St. Stanislaus School in Lowell and then graduated from Lowell High School.

She grew up in the Centralville section of Lowell, before later residing in Belvidere. She was a devoted communicant of Holy Trinity Parish. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Sodality and the Holy Trinity Senior Citizens Club. Josephine enjoyed sewing.

Josephine is survived by her daughter, Connie Jakubowicz of Waltham; a sister, Helena Maciejczyk of Lowell; her nieces and nephews, Janet Bartelson, Peter Wojick, Jack Maciejczyk, Michael Maciejczyk, and Thomas Maciejczyk; and her cousins, Christine and Michael.

She was also the sister of the late John Maciejczyk.
