Beloved mother, grandmother,

and great-grandmother

LOWELL -- Josephine M. (Nawrocka) D'Alba, 98, of Lowell, died Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Palm Center in Chelmsford, after a period of declining health.

She was the widow of the late Phillip D'Alba who passed away in 1968.

A daughter of the late Szymon and the late Apolonia (Bonczar) Nawrocki, she was born November 29, 1915, in Lowell, and was educated in the local schools attending St. Stanislaus Grammar School and Lowell High School.

A lifelong Lowell resident, she resided at Rogers Hall for over 10 years, was a communicant of Holy Trinity Polish Church, and a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Ladies Sodality, the Holy Trinity Church Senior Citizens Club, and was also a member of the pierogi workers group within Holy Trinity Church.

She worked as an inspector for Braeburn Manufacturing and Fenway Manufacturing.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula J. Logue and her husband, Charles, of Lowell, and Phyllis Troddyn of Wells, Maine; her son, Phillip D'Alba and his wife, Marjorie, of Pelham, NH; her grandchildren, Sean Logue of Worcester, Mark Troddyn of Hollis, NH, Meghan Dix of Dover, NH, Patrick D'Alba of Pelham, NH; her nine great-grandchildren; her cousin, Mary Dudek of Lowell; her two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Nawrocki of Lowell and Mary Nawrocki of Ormond Beach, Florida; and her cousin, Stasia Woltosz of Chelmsford.

She was also a sister of the late Joseph Nawrocki, the late John Nawrocki, and the late Mary Thomas.

The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Palm Center for the compassionate and loving care that Josephine received during her stay.
