Kathleen E. 'Cindy' Diamantopoulos
lifelong resident of Lowell; 72

LOWELL -- Kathleen E. (Flynn) 'Cindy' Diamantopoulos, 72, of Lowell, died peacefully, Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at her home with her husband, children, and grandchildren by her side. She was the beloved wife of John R. Diamantopoulos with whom she celebrated Fifty One years of Marriage last August.

A daughter of the late Thomas and Kathleen (Donohoe) Flynn, she was born August 11, 1941, in Lowell, and grew up in the Belvidere Section of the City, was educated in the local schools, and graduated from Lowell High School.

She made her lifelong home in Lowell, and was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Parish. She was an amazing mother, especially caring and very loving. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She liked playing Bingo, and visiting Hampton Beach with her nephews Jerry and Tommy Flynn. People that knew her will remember her for her good sense of humor.

Mrs. Diamantopoulos worked at Milipore for over ten years before becoming an assembler for Teradyne in Nashua, NH, for over twenty two years prior to her retirement.

In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by her children, Diane L. Toomajanian and her husband, Raymond, of Lowell, John T. Diamantopoulos of Lowell, Nicholas C. Diamantopoulos and his wife, Lisa Santos, of Lowell, Dena M. Diamantopoulos of Lowell, and Christopher Diamantopoulos and his wife, Mindy, of Nashua, NH; her grandchildren, Alicia, Alyssa, Amanda, Corey, Celcia, Nicole, Marissa, Kari, Nicholas, Noah, Cash, and Dylan, her great-grandson, Bradyn; her brother, Gerald Flynn and his wife, Sandra, of Chelmsford; and many nieces and nephews, as well as in-laws and extended family and friends.

She was also the great-grandmother of the late Kayson Newton and sister of the late Thomas Flynn.
