LOWELL -- Kathryn R. Taylor, died peacefully on February 2, 2013, at Willow Manor Nursing Home. She was 94 years old.
She retired as a District Supervisor for Visiting Nurses Association in Boston where she had worked for over 30 years.
She had been a communicant of Sacred Heart Parish in Lowell.
Kathryn served as a nurse in the U.S. Army in Europe during WW II. She served with the 109th Evac Hospital attached to the 1st and then the 3rd Army in England, France, Belgium, Germany and Czechoslovakia. The 109th was the first evac hospital to cross the Rhine.
Kathryn was born in Lowell, the daughter of the late Wilfred and Mary (Hanley) Taylor. She was the sister of the late Wilfred, Walter, Roland and Francis Taylor.
She is survived by several nieces and a nephew.
