Loving mother and grandmother

LOWELL -- Lila L. (Ballos) Tanguay, age 90, passed away in Lowell on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, after an extended illness. She was the wife of the late Leo J. Tanguay who passed away in 1975.

She was born in Lowell on March 22, 1922, a daughter of the late Thomas and Leona (Noel) Ballos. Lila was a lifelong resident of Lowell, and resided in the Pawtucketville section for many years.

She was a communicant of the for St. Jean Baptiste and Ste. Jeanne d'Arc Parishes.

Lila was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots and also enjoyed singing and dancing. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her three sons, Leo A. Tanguay of Colorado Springs, CO, Lucien A. Tanguay and his wife, Diane of Dracut, and Louis E. Tanguay and his wife, Karen of Londonderry; 11 grandchildren, Kevin Tanguay, Dennis Larose, Brian Tanguay, Keith Tanguay, Hank Larose, Jennifer Tanguay, Kerry Jimenez, Kendra Jussaume, Laurie Ziakas, Matthew Tanguay and Kurtis Tanguay; a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Tanguay of Townsend; a sister-in-law, Cecile Ballos of Dracut; also 12 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

She was the mother of the late Leon A. Tanguay who passed away in April, 2011 and sister of the late Georgette Roy, Emile and Arthur Ballos.

TANGUAY -- Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Saturday, Dec. 22, from
