Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister
CHELMSFORD -- Lillian G. (Farren) Stevens, 83, a resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully at her home on November 29, 2012. For 54 years, she was the beloved wife of Robert R. Stevens, Jr.
She was born in Everett on March 12, 1929 and was the daughter of the late James J. and Elizabeth (Hurst) Farren. Lillian received her education in Everett schools and was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1948.
Prior to her retirement, Lillian was employed for many years as a medical receptionist at Chelmsford Medical Associates.
Her greatest joy in life came from spending time in the company of her family, especially her cherished grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Lillian is survived by her sons, Robert R. Stevens, III and his wife, Lynn of North Chelmsford, and Scott D. Stevens and his wife Deborah of Rindge, NH; her six grandchildren, Molly, Emma, and Grace Stevens of North Chelmsford, and Courtney, Kyle, and Ashlee Stevens of Rindge, NH; her sister, June Farren of Melrose; and many nieces and nephews.
Lillian was predeceased by her siblings, James Farren, Winifred Smith, Margaret White, and Ruth Farren.
