of Chelmsford; 88

CHELMSFORD -- Margaret B. (O'Heir) Britton, R.N., 88, passed away peacefully Friday, September 27, 2013.

Daughter of the late John F. and Mary A. (Grady) O'Heir, she was born December 28, 1924 in Hudson, MA, and was the widow of the late Harold F. Britton who died in 2009.

She graduated from St. Peter's School and Lowell High School in 1942, and St. John's School of Nursing in 1947. She worked for over 25 years at Valleyhead Hospital where she was Director of Nursing until its' closing in 1977.

She is survived by her three children, Kathleen and her husband Gilles Dube' of Nashua, NH, Patti Britton and her husband Barry Wentzell of Dunstable, MA and Michael and his wife Suzanne Britton of Chelmsford, MA, grandchildren; Adam Dube' of Elyria Ohio, Liza Dube' of St. Petersburg FL, Alisha and her husband Ted Garry of Tampa, FL, and Kelly Britton of Ayer, MA great-grandchildren; Natalie, Gillian, and Emma Dube' of Elyria, OH and her sister, Lucy (O'Heir) Mallon of Saugus, MA.

Peg, as everyone knew her was a member of the Chelmsford Senior Center and an avid member of the Tops club that met on Tuesdays. She had many friends at the center and was cherished by all who knew her. The gals called her a good friend and a good listener who gave good advice. Peg loved to clown around with her gang and enjoyed many lunches, trips, and pool parties.

BRITTON -- MARGARET B. (O'HEIR) R.N. Visiting hours Friday from 4 to 7 pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. Her Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 11 o'clock followed by interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P. O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250. Funeral Director Paul A.
