Margaret Eileen (Lyons) McSheehy
Of N. Chelmsford

N. CHELMSFORD -- Margaret Eileen (Lyons) McSheehy passed away peacefully on December 1, 2012 at Christopher House in Worcester after a period of declining health.

She was married to the late Alfred (Mickey) McSheehy, Jr., who died in 1996.

She was born on January 7, 1920 in Dorchester to Flora Rose (Hughes) and John P. Lyons.

Margaret was orphaned at a young age and then lovingly raised by her mother's extended family, including her grandfather Thomas Hughes and her Uncle Jack and Aunt Eva (Hughes) Hall in Graniteville.

She attended Westford Schools and over time worked for Lowell Stationery, Dennis Office Supply and H&H Paper, as well as spending time as a home health aide. She spent many happy years as a member of the Congregational Church in North Chelmsford, serving on the Official Board, as Superintendent of the Sunday School and on the Building Committee for the expansion in the 50's and 60's. She also worked on May Breakfasts, Bean Suppers, Minstrel Shows and youth dances. In retirement she spent many happy summers in Cavendish, VT, as well as winters in Brooksville, FL, among other warmer spots.

She is survived and will be missed by her sons Ron (and his partner Steve Warren) of Worcester and Terry [and his wife Lynne (Marshall)] of North Chelmsford; granddaughters Kathleen and her husband Derek LaRochelle of Chelmsford and Jessica and her husband Brian Del Llano of Lowell; great-granddaughters Abby Margaret and Paige Elizabeth LaRochelle, and Sara Bailey Del Llano; and her beloved companion of many years, Henry Scarfe of Springfield, MA. She also leaves her cousin Lois (Hall) Jewett of Graniteville, as well as a number of nephews and nieces.

MCSHEEHY -- It being her wish, there will be no calling hours. Interment will be at the convenience of the family, and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
