WESTFORD -- Mary E. (Donahue) Wait, 93, of Westford, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2013 at the Northwood Rehab and Health Care Center in Lowell, MA.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio on February 5, 1919, Mary was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen Donahue.
A Struthers High School graduate, class of 1937, Mary went on to work for and eventually retired in 1984 from Montgomery County Courthouse as the Recorder of Deeds in Norristown, PA. She was also an active member at St. Nicholas Church in Ohio, its Senior Group, Altar Rosary society and Struthers #3105 AARP. Mary had been a resident of Westford for almost 7 years and was a member of the Chelmsford Senior Center. She enjoyed playing cards, cross stitching, crocheting and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Mary is survived and will be deeply missed by her children, Donald E. Wait and his wife Carolann of Norwood, NC, Kathleen A. Lemieux and her husband Louis of Westford, MA and John Robert Wait and his wife Rosemarie of Norristown, PA. She is survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She leaves a brother, Charles R. Donahue of Westford, MA and several nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by sisters, Betty Flickinger and Alice Donahue.
