LOWELL -- Mary E. (Brooks) Botto, 84, a life-long resident of Lowell, MA, died Wednesday evening, May 7, 2014, after a long illness.

She was married to the late Stephen Botto who died Sept. 1, 1995.

She was the daughter of the late William and Ellen Brooks. A life-long resident of Lowell, Mary graduated from Lowell High School with the Class of 1944.

She worked as an inspector with Electro Circuit Co. of Lowell for many years before retiring in 1991. She had previously worked at Symphonic Corp and Wakefield Corp of Lowell.

She was a communicant of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church of Lowell.

She is survived by a son, Stephen M. and his wife, Colleen E (Langan) Botto Sr.; two daughters, Ann and her husband, Edward Langan and Mary Ellen and her husband, Mark Cruckshank, all of Lowell; two sisters, Julia Feeley of Lowell, and Patricia Youngblood of Munroe, LA; seven grandchildren Keri A. Boucher, Stephen and Michael Botto, Kimberly Ann Smith, Kristopher Langan, Kristine Drust, and Katelyn Ganko, 11 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Lily, and Joshua Boucher Natalie, Eric, and Jack Smith, Matthew and Abigail Botto, Michael Botto, Mason Ganko, and Brewer Drust, and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Gertrude, William F. Jr., Harold and George Brooks.

BOTTO -- Mary Ellen (Brooks) Botto, 84, of Lowell, died May 7, 2014. Visiting hours Mon. 3 to 7 P.M. Funeral Tuesday at 8:30 from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 9:30 A.M. at St. Margaret Church in Lowell. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
