Of Westford, MA

WESTFORD, MA -- Mary Price, 64, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2012, following an extended illness. She died at her home, surrounded by her loving husband and children.

She was married to Mr. Arnold H. Price with whom she celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary on August 25, 2012.

Mary was the daughter of Dorothy (Perras) Reed and Edward Reed. She spent her childhood living in many parts of New England, from the coast of Maine, to Western Massachusetts. She graduated from Chelmsford High School with the class of 1967 and was a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Lowell.

Mary worked for many years as an accountant for Price's Bakery in Lowell, and owned and operated The Elegant Bargaineer, a consignment shop also in Lowell. While her daughters were young, she dedicated herself as a full-time Mom.

Mary will be remembered for her loyalty and devotion to her family and friends, her sense of humor and the smile she had for everyone she met. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed quilting, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.

Besides her husband she is survived by 2 daughters, Candice McVeigh and her husband John of North Andover and Leah Yousey and her husband Jeff of Nashua, NH, and two grandchildren Jack and Kelly Ann McVeigh. She is also survived by her father Edward Reed of Lakeland, FL, her sister Donna Gavel of Lowell, and her sister Janice Gianotis of Lakeland, FL.

She was the sister-in-law to the late Michael Gianotis of Lowell, MA who died in May of 2005.

PRICE -- Mary Price, 64 passed away peacefully on Oct. 25, 2012. Visiting hours Sun. 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Mon. at 8AM from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 9AM at St. John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford, MA. Burial in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell, MA. Memorials may be made in her name to the VNA of Greater Lowell Inc., Hospice Program, 336 Central St., Lowell, MA 01852.
