DRACUT, MA -- Mary Ruth Lisay, 89, a longtime Dracut resident, entered eternal rest on January 14th, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on December 7, 1923, in Tewksbury, she was the daughter of the late Blanche (Tymula)(Lisay) Silva and Roman Lisay, and the stepdaughter of George Silva.
She was raised on the family farm in Tewksbury where she began her love of gardening. Mary was a longtime employee of the IRS and a longtime Avon Representative.
Mary enjoyed baking and spending time with her beloved family. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her big heart and having the ability to make everyone smile.
Mary is survived by her sisters, Amelia Ward, Julia Gacek and Georgina Silva; her sister in-law Cecile A. Lisay, many nieces and a nephew, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews as well as her kind and compassionate caregivers, Danica, Laura and Angela.
She is now reunited with her beloved twin brother, Edward Lisay, nephew Ted Lisay and a great-nephew Robbie Terris.
LISAY -- Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects from 8-9:30 a.m. on Friday, January 18th at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut, MA. Her funeral mass will then follow at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Church in Lowell and burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Tewksbury.
