LOWELL -- Mildred R. (Foley) Overn, a lifelong Lowell resident recently residing in Noblesville Indiana (a suburb of Indianapolis) died Thursday, February 7, 2013, at St. Vincent's Heart Center, after a brief illness.

She was the widow of the late Edward F. Overn who died on September 17th 1975.

A daughter of the late Arthur E. and the late M. Blanche (Roux) Foley, she was born January 14, 1925, in Lowell, she attended St. Peter's Grammar School, and graduated from Lowell High School.

Married at St. Peter's Church, she was a resident of Belvidere for almost 50 years and a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. Prior to that she was a resident and communicant of St. Peter's Parish where she was the President of St. Peter's Blessed Virgin Sodality, was a member of the Legion of Mary, and also the Poor Clare Guild.

For 27 years she was a proud and devout gift shop volunteer at Saints Memorial Medical Center and a past recipient of the Volunteer of the Year Award.

She is survived by her son, Edward F. Overn and his wife, Maureen of Noblesville, IN; her cherished granddaughters, Elizabeth E. Overn and Kathryn L Overn both of Noblesville, IN; her brother, Thomas J. Foley and his wife, Jane, of Manchester, NH, her sister, Maureen E. Mealy of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews.

Mildred was predeceased by her brothers, the late Arthur E. Foley, the late Paul H. Foley, the late Gerald L. Foley, and the late Francis Foley.

YOU ARE ALSO WELCOME TO ATTEND HER FUNERAL WHICH WILL BEGIN AT 9 A.M. AT THE FUNERAL HOME. A FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH (LOWER CHURCH) AT 10 A.M.
